For proper assembly, please follow the instructions below:

Line up the holes on the plastic frame at the end of each aluminum pole with the holes at the corners of the plastic rack. Make sure each pole is curving outward.
Insert 2 plastic pins into the holes on each end of the poles. Push the pins into the corresponding holes in the rack with your fingers. If the pins don't go in securely, lightly tap the end of the pins on a hard surface until they are pushed in completely.
Clip the included plastic dividers onto the aluminum poles and slide them down the rack to the desired position. Make sure to clip the higher end of the divider onto the higher-sided aluminum pole.

To put dishes and pans in these is difficult because the height of the shelves which are pretty ordinary in that in several homes they have been the same height. It was easy to size in different compartments, but to put the pans with the handles in the back was difficult when they are on a shelf. There isn't enough room in the height. Also, they do not fill the whole shelf in depth so that some space is wasted.

I love the Genius Rack. It has given me so much additional cabinet storage space. Additionally, it looks quite nice. I am surprised how well it performs. I can access my pots and pans easily, including cast iron/stoneware. I now have a complete empty bottom shelf space in which to use.

this thing is a big waste of money,i hated it,gave to my daughter,she gave it back..it is not,and dose not do what she says it is,i never write a bad revue,but this just had to be said.it wont fit
any cabinet i or my daughter have,my neighbor tryed it,dont work in any of our cabinets,also hard to set up,and try to get pots to stay in it

While it was not as difficult to assemble as some here have indicated, I did manage to break two of the dividers. Placing them (the broken ones) on either end of the rack at least allows me to use them somewhat.
Rack would not work in the base of our china cabinet and we haven't yet tried them in our kitchen base cabinets. If you have shelves in your cabinets, you may experience problems getting pans with handles to fit. Might be useful if you have a lot of lids to store.
